Connecting Your Custom Domain
Learn how to pair your custom domain with the Leapjuice Hub using Enterprise CNAME Flattening.
The "Hub" Connection Method
At Leapjuice, we don't believe in static IP addresses. In a high-performance cloud environment, static IPs are fragile. They break if we migrate your container to a healthier node or a faster availability zone.
Instead of pointing your domain to a number (e.g., 192.0.2.1), we ask you to point your domain to the Hub.
By using a CNAME Record at your root domain, you are effectively "pairing" your site with our entire infrastructure stack. This allows your site to inherit our global speed, security, and redundancy automatically.

Step-by-Step Guide
- Locate your Target URL: Check your "Welcome Email" or the Service Details page in this portal to find your unique Leapjuice URL (e.g.,
app-xyz.leapjuice.com). - Open DNS Manager: Navigate to the Domains tab and select "Manage DNS" for the domain you wish to connect.
- Add the Root Record: Create a new
CNAMErecord. Set the Host/Name to@and the Value to your Leapjuice URL. Ensure the Proxy status is enabled. - Add the WWW Record: Create a second
CNAMErecord. Set the Host/Name towwwand the Value to your Leapjuice URL.
Why use a CNAME for the Root (@)?
Traditionally, root domains required an A Record (IP). However, Leapjuice utilizes CNAME Flattening. Our edge network reads your CNAME, finds the destination IP in milliseconds, and presents a compliant connection to the world. This gives you the flexibility of a CNAME with the reliability of a static IP.
